Through Vumacam’s operations, we process footage in public spaces and capture footage of vehicles
and human movement, none of which allow us to access any personal details such as names,
addresses, or identity numbers.

Our systems make use of advanced algorithm technology which flags unusual human movement and
license plates of vehicles of interest (VOI) that have been submitted via SAPS Unicode or security
databases.

We store footage for 30 days.

Data is only used for the purpose of flagging criminal or suspected criminal activity.

Where data is requested for the use of a criminal investigation, this is done through an appropriate,
managed request reliant on a SAPS case number.
